a Road Trip Time Lapse

We took 13 days to drive over 4000 miles, zig-zagging our way from coast to coast, stopping to camp and check out some amazing sights along the way. I decided early on in the planning stages, a few months before we set out on our journey that I wanted to capture it in an interesting and unique way. Somehow I wanted to document the trip from beginning to end. Thanks to a converted Pelican case, some electronics from Harbortronics, and close to $5000 worth of camera gear, I strapped a Nikon D700 to the roof of a minivan, and away we went. Check out my blog post for more info.

About swalecda
As a touring stage-hand and freelance photographer for the past 8 years, I have traveled the country and world consistantly in the process, I finally decided to capture the drive from LA to NYC (taken as a vacation) in time-lapse form. Please check out my blog http://www.dswalecphoto.com/blog/2011/12/24/a-road-trip-timelapse/ for detailed info on the Harbortronics components that I used in my custom-made roof-top camera housing.
