A new platinum mine, Maseve Platinum Mine, just outside Rustenburg, South Africa recently commenced operation after the construction phase was completed successfully. The area is known for it's platinum minerals and there are a number of mines around. The mine is located in the North West province and adjoins with Wesizwe’s Frischgewaagd-Ledig Project. It also shares a boundary with the Styldrift mine which is currently under construction, and the producing Bafokeng Rasimone Platinum Mine, both of which are owned by Royal Bafokeng Platinum Limited.

DRA was contracted by Maseve to design and construct a 165ktpm concentrator at the Maseve Platinum Mine. Work was started on the project in January 2013 and The Concentrator was successfully commissioned and passed its performance test in Feb 2016. The scope of DRA’s work included the engineering design, procurement, construction, management and the commissioning (EPCM) of the concentrator.
